Have you ever browsed the Internet at work and your boss walks by and glances over at your computer screen? Well if this is you and you're on TopGolf.com, we have your back! We call it the Boss Button.
I like to consider it as TopGolf's very own Easter egg. The purpose of a Boss Button is to quickly make it appear that you are being productive at work by a single click, when in reality you're probably doing the opposite.
We did not invent the idea of the Boss Button; it's been around the Internet and computers for decades. One of the first companies to use it was FriendlyWare for their P.C. arcade games in 1982. Some March Madness websites have even incorporated the button onto their websites.
Sometimes we'll get comments or questions about the Boss Button on our website, both from people who are confused or throwing us a compliment. Go check out the Boss Button on TopGolf.com for yourself and see what pops up (only available while viewing on a desktop). Prior versions of the Boss Button brought up a standard Excel spreadsheet with our food challenge statistics. This time we went a different route.
