"Oh, sorry, I’m not a golfer. Topgolf wouldn’t be for me!” This is the most common objection we hear when inviting people to visit Topgolf for the first time. However, just because you haven’t golfed before doesn’t mean the sport isn’t for you!
There are many benefits to the game of golf. There is beauty around every corner (even if you are playing in our facilities!). It is a sport offering a number of benefits for each player. Walking 18 holes is equivalent to a 5-mile walk or a 3.5 mile run. Did I mention there are 10,000+ public golf courses throughout the United States, so you have access to the game right in your backyard? It is a great social opportunity for you and your friends as well.
Aside from the personal benefits associated with golf, the industry is an important one for our economy, with a $70 billion total annual impact. According to wearegolf.org, golf’s charitable impact is nearly $4 billion a year – that’s more than what the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL raise combined! There are more than 143,000 charitable golf events annually that include 12 million participants.
These are just some of the many reasons Topgolf is proud to participate in National Golf Day on April 15. Our goal is to set a company record for most golf lessons taught in one day. You can help us reach our goal by visiting Topgolf and taking a FREE 5-minute Topgolf U lesson. We will be celebrating the sport all day long, with golf demos, free lessons and prize giveaways.
If you’re interested in taking up golf as a hobby, Topgolf U is a great place to start. We have lesson options for juniors and adults, beginners and experts – at all times of the day and night to accommodate your busy schedule. Visit topgolf.com/lessons to get more information on a personalized lesson for you!
And don’t forget to celebrate National Golf Day at Topgolf on Wednesday, April 15!
