As one of our five core values, caring is at the heart of everything we do at Topgolf and we recently joined forces with Only A Pavement Away to support their Fill A Flask campaign; just one of the fantastic initiatives that the charity is championing.
The Fill A Flask campaign saw over 1500 reusable flasks handed out to the homeless in London, Brighton and Manchester over the summer and the management team here at Topgolf recently hit the streets to do their bit too.
“It is fantastic to see a company as big as Topgolf take one of our initiatives and make it their own,” said Only a Pavement Away founder Greg Mangham. “The support from the team has been incredible and the efforts they went to talk to homeless people and listen to their stories while handing out flasks made a real difference to the people they met on the day. I am delighted that we can work with Topgolf to help try and place people into fantastic roles to build their careers, and I am sure this will be the start to a successful relationship for years to come.”
OAPA aims to help those disadvantaged and struggling to get into work by providing the relevant training courses and connecting them with employers in the hospitality industry (like Topgolf). We’re working with charities to place OAPA candidates into our talent pool and helping candidates to secure a face-to-face interview.
"It was both humbling and a pleasure to work closely with OAPA to address the challenges faced by the homeless population in London. We hope that we have been able to provide some respite, and also raise awareness of the good work the charity is doing as we head into the winter season.” Said Troy Warfield, President of Topgolf International.
