Gary Woodluck is a former special forces operative, highly trained survival expert, and does all his own DIY. Welcome to his guide for surviving the winter months.
My name is Gary Woodluck – and I’ll be taking things from here.
Winter is a cruel mistress. She is cold. She is bitter. She is dangerous. She is not a season for the faint-hearted, who cower under the bedsheets clinging to the safety of their hot water bottle, hiding from the world in their fluffy pyjamas.
Winter is a time of year for the brave. For the soldiers in the pack. For those ready and willing to answer the call of their comrades and head out into the wilderness, no matter how long it takes to de-ice their windscreen. If you are such a soldier, then I, Gary Woodluck, Arctic Explorer and masterful bleeder of radiators, salute you.
The following pages contain winter survival tips acquired from years of wrestling polar bears, fighting avalanches and still going to the pub when it’s bloody freezing outside. Follow my advice, and you might just conquer this winter too.
