Are there any age restrictions for Topgolf Leagues?
Yes. Players must be 21 years and older. It's not that we're trying to be a buzz-kill, it's because it’s an adult league and we serve alcohol.
Can I pay using a Topgolf Gift Card?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any gift cards for payment at this present time. We have partnered with LeagueApps to support the League program, and we do not have the ability to process gift cards through the LeagueApps platform. Not to worry, you can use your Topgolf gift card for at the venue; perhaps a victory round for the team?!
Do you offer Corporate Teams and how do I sign up?
We welcome corporate teams in our leagues! Starting a corporate team is as easy as creating a regular team.
If you are using a company credit card, you can register online as the Team Captain and pay for the entire team. Once the team dues are paid for, you can invite your teammates to join from your Dashboard (follow the directions listed below under "How do I get my friends to register for my team?"). If you need to use an alternate payment method, please contact your Topgolf venue.
What happens if my team has to miss a game?
If you're a Team Captain, please be sure that you will have enough people to make each game. If you know ahead of time that your team will be unable to attend your game, please contact your Topgolf venue. Topgolf Leagues will allow teams to post scores early, under venue supervision for regular season games. However, you will not be able to make up missed playoff games. Speak to your League Team at the venue for more information.
What if our team is short of players for a game?
We understand that, despite your best efforts, registered players may not be able to attend every game. The great thing about our social leagues is the flexibility, so as long as your team has the minimum number of players required you are good to go.
We do allow teams to bring substitute players; nobody likes a forfeit.
What if I can't fill my team? Why am I still paying the same price?
The fees associated with Topgolf Leagues are team fees and not player fees. While the fee will be greater per person for teams with unfilled rosters, it does mean each player will get more Topgolf bay time. Specific to the 4-6 person team - The more players (6 maximum / 4 minimum) on a team, the less it costs per player to take part on a league night.
Teams can continually add to their roster by inviting friends.
When do we receive our Topgolf t-shirts?
T-shirts are exclusive to Topgolf League players only. Teams will be provided with a t-shirt, for each registered player in the sizes requested, during Playoffs (week 7 & 8). Any member of a team that has not completed their registration on LeagueApps by week 2 of Leagues will not receive a t-shirt.
What if it is raining, snowing, or generally miserable outside?
ALWAYS assume your game is on. We play through rain, snow, and less than optimal conditions to make sure all games are played as scheduled. Of course, in special circumstances — blizzards, lightning, alien takeover — we will postpone the games and inform you. When in doubt, contact us.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
We accept cancellation requests, with a full refund given, up to 48 hours prior to your chosen League format beginning, after which date all payments are final. When you register, we custom order a t-shirt in your size, take you into consideration as we create evenly distributed teams and even turn other potential players away if we sell out. Your registration matters!
What is the responsibility of the Team Captain?
With great power, comes great responsibility – but not an overwhelming amount. Team Captains are responsible for team registration and all league fees, all of which is taken through the LeagueApps account. See Splitting payment fairly amongst players for a breakdown cost per person.
At registration, Captains create and name their team and then get the word out to potential players. Captains are the main point of contact between their team and our Venue League Hosts, and therefore need to keep an open line of communication leading up to, during, and shortly after the season. Captains are also expected to be able to manage their teammates if they are doing something that negatively affects our fun atmosphere.
A Great Team Captain:
- Sends a registration link to potential players, the same URL where they created the team
- Encourages a positive team spirit, even when losing
- Sends weekly emails rallying their players and building excitement for the next games
- Backs up the calls from Topgolf Associates
- Is pro-active in settling disputes involving their team
What happens after I register?
Once you register, you're a member of our community. You'll get a confirmation email right away. Shortly before the start of the season, we'll email you with all the information you need.
After you register, please add firstname.lastname@example.org to your email's address book. We send many emails with important season information, and sometimes they get pushed to spam folders.
All payments are made via our online registration pages. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. We do not accept Amex, nor do we accept payment over the phone.
Registration pages include all pertinent season information: Registration deadline, game dates, location, price, link to rules, and any other information you need to know about the leagues.
Registration includes (for almost every league we offer): eight weeks of games, Topgolf t-shirts, all necessary game equipment, online schedules and standings. Be sure to read all the season details on the registration form before signing.
Splitting payment fairly amongst players
If players are equally splitting league fees, this acts as a guide for Team Captains when collecting fees from players.

How do I get my friends to register for my team?
There are two ways to do this:
- If you have not created your team yet: You are able to invite players to join your team after your registration is completed. At the completion of registration there is the option to "Invite more players to your new team." Clicking this button will allow you to send an email and message to anyone you would like to add to your team. Simply add their e-mail address into the form and invite them to join your team.
- If you have already created your team: You can still invite players by following these steps. Log into your account and select the Dashboard option. Select the "Manage or Add Players" option listed under the Role/Team section. To invite new players, click the button that says "Invite Players" in the right hand sidebar under Roster. Add their e-mail address into the form and invite them to join your team.
You can visit this help page for more guidance.
How do I see who has registered for my team?
Log into your account and select the Dashboard option. Select the "Manage or Add Players" option listed under the Role/Team section. To view your roster, click the button that says "Roster" in the right hand sidebar. From here you can also invite new players as well as see the status of all pending invites.
How do Free Agents Work?
Want to play but don't have a team willing to join? That's no problem, you are going to have a great time. Register as a Free Agent and Topgolf will aim to group Free Agents together to make a team. After registration, Topgolf will automatically place Free Agents in to Free Agent only teams, in registration date order. Once confirmed, Free Agents will attend week 1 of Leagues for team meet and greet, and commence League play. Topgolf will reach out prior to Leagues beginning with more information.
Free Agents pay upfront for their season participation at time of registration. If Topgolf cannot find Free Agents a team, a full refund will be given. Applicable sales tax or processing fee applies.
Weekly League Games and Format
What does the season format look like?
The season is made up of 8 weekly leagues nights – 6 weeks of Regular Season, followed by 2 weeks of Playoffs.
What does the weekly format and scoring system look like?
2 PERSON TEAM FORMAT
Teams will follow match play format throughout the Regular Season and Playoffs.
Two teams will be assigned into one bay each week at random. This will be the matchup for the week. Each player on the two teams will play two (2) games, individually. These games will be provided at the beginning of the season for each week.
Both players on a team will combine their two individual scores to come up with one (1) team weekly score, consisting of the four (4) individual scores.
The team with the highest score will earn a win for the night. If the scores are tied, then the weekly match will result in a tie.
Rankings at the end of the Regular Season will determine Playoff bracket and position.
The 16 top-ranked teams will move onto the Championship Playoff bracket, with the remaining teams moving in to the Consolation Playoff bracket. Both playoff brackets will be single-elimination match play with two (2) matches taking place in the first week of the Playoffs and the Semi-finals and Championship matches taking place in the second week – the last week of the season.
4-6 PERSON TEAM FORMAT
Your team will play two rounds of games, with each player in your team playing 1 game in each round (game varieties are rotated each week). The best four scores from each round will be your teams total score for the evening (8 games overall).
Note: Teams must have a minimum of 4 players to ensure they can maximize scoring. If a team has 3 players, they will only be able to accumulate a total score of 3 games per round, 6 in total for the evening.
Teams will play stroke-play throughout the Regular Season. At the end of the Regular Season, teams will be ranked based on total strokes gained throughout the course of the Regular Season. Rankings at the end of the Regular Season will determine Playoff bracket and position.
Each week, there will be two specific Topgolf games played from the following: TopGolf, TopShot Rookie, TopChip, TopContender and TopPressure. A game rotation schedule for the entire Regular Season will be provided to every team prior to the start of Week 1.
What happens if there is a tie in the Playoffs?
In the event of a tie, teams will play a sudden-death shot in the game of Topgolf. Only one player from each team will be allowed to take a shot. Teams will flip a coin to see who will hit first. Once the tie is broken, the team with the highest score will be declared the winning team.
