ID Policy

At all Venues at all Times:

We operate a Challenge 25 Policy. Guests under the age of 16 must always be accompanied by a responsible adult (over the age of 18).

At Topgolf Watford & CHIGWELL ONLY on Fridays and Saturdays:

From 10pm on Fridays & Saturdays, Topgolf Watford & Topgolf Chigwell are 18+ venues. We operate a Challenge 25 policy. Under 18s will not be permitted to enter the venue from 8.00pm. A physical valid passport or UK driving licence is required from all guests.

Why do you need to ask for ID at the door? Aren’t you just a driving range?

We aim to foster a fun but safe environment for everyone at Topgolf, which is why on our most popular evenings of Friday and Saturday we made the decision to operate an 18 plus policy. Although some might see us as just a driving range, we believe that particularly at very popular times the Topgolf experience is much more akin to a bar or entertainment venue, and as such we need to do everything we can to make sure we are operating responsibly; in fact, it is specified in the terms of our operating license that it is our responsibility to ensure IDs are checked.

Why do you need to see ID from everyone, even my 62-year-old uncle!?

In addition to helping us fulfill our legal responsibilities relating to the sale and consumption of alcohol, ID scanning technology can prevent those registered as having caused problems in the past at other venues from entering the premises. Again, we do this for the safety of the 99.9% of guests who visit to enjoy a competitive game of Topgolf, and some great food and drink. We're sure your uncle is fine, but we have to check everyone or else it wouldn't be fair!

We’re doing everything we can to make sure everyone is aware of our ID policy before they make the trip to visit one of our venues. Please ensure that if you are planning to visit us during one of these times, you remember to bring your passport or driving licence.
